Hackathon
Under the pressure of creating a comprehensive design on a foreign concept in a realm of tax profession in eight hours, to pitching a presentation to a panel of executive judges, my team and I put together a bronze place winning design and presentation on a DAC6 implementation to the Advantage platform.
What is DAC6?
DAC6 covers the mandatory disclosure and automatic exchange of taxation information among EU member states related to reportable cross-border arrangements.
The Problem
The Advantage software platform does not have a DAC6 implementation at the time of the Hack-a-thon.

We were posed with a challenge to fix that in one day.
The Team
Our team was composed of 4 members.

1. Project Manager
2. Tax Professional
3. UX Designer (Myself)
4. Tax Researcher
The Approach
To come up with a comprehensive solution, we wanted to make it as real as possible while being feasible for implementation to help win over our pitch.

Our project manager controlled the scope of our task and the vision they had in mind.

They appointed the CPA and the Tax Researcher to gather all the information they could on DAC6 and modify it into bullet points.

The project manager appointed me to start prototyping and laying down the foundation for our context.
The Solution
We presented a fully functional prototype that adhered to the branding specifications of the product and was feasible for implementation if selected as the winner of the competition.

The Resolve
Our presentation was granted third place and highly considered for implementation in the suite of products on the Advantage platform.
