Turtle taxi
My involvement with the OTCC (Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre) is part of the turtle taxi program.
Turtle taxi volunteers allows the OTCC to admit turtles from all across the province. Volunteer veterinarians aid in First Response at 40 locations throughout Ontario.
Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre (home of Kawartha Turtle Trauma Centre) is a registered charity whose goal is to protect and conserve Ontario’s native turtles and the habitat in which they live. The OTCC accomplishes this by operating a turtle hospital that treats, rehabilitates, and releases injured turtles, by performing extensive research in the field to further conservation initiatives, and by running a comprehensive education and outreach program.

Being involved in community is a very important part of my life. As I love the science behind sound, and the joy that it brings people, I volunteer my time frequently at events and my local church to ensure listeners get the best sound experience they can recieve.
Iquitos, Peru
Hogar Genesis
In the heart of the Peruvian jungle lives a city Iquitos. I volunteer my time and effort by helping build a home in Iquitos for abandoned and neglected children, so that they can get legal protection, education, healthcare, and a safe home.
Iquitos is a very impovershed city with a crippiling drug, homelessness, and violence problem in certain areas. Many of the children born in Iquitos often never make it passed their second birthday or are sold for less than $2USD. To bring some peace to Iquitos, part of my volunteer efforts assist in bringing peace to the streets of Iquitos by providing meals and water to those in need, but also visiting local prisons, and slums to talk to those who are struggling and to hear their stories.
Hogar Genesis has since adopted 12 children and infants where they now recieve funding for their education, healthcare, legal protection and more. The goal of Hogar Genesis is to provide the necessitities of dignity, self confidence, and relationships to these children so that they can be outstanding citizens of Iquitos in the years to come.
